Juslyn is a lifelong North County resident, daughter of immigrants, and proud product of Daly City public schools, including Woodrow Wilson Elementary, Benjamin Franklin Middle and Jefferson High Schools. Juslyn is proud to be devoting her life to giving back to the community that gave her so much. She utilizes her Masters of Public Administration (MPA) to create policies and programs to give back to our community. Today, she and her husband are also raising their two children in North County.

Juslyn knows firsthand what families are facing. Rising housing costs, access to quality healthcare, and creating good-paying jobs aren't just policy issues to her. They're the challenges her neighbors, friends, and family experience every day.

A Record of Delivering Results

As a Daly City Councilmember and former three term Mayor, Juslyn:

• Saved Seton Hospital and protected access to healthcare for thousands of families.

• Championed Midway Village, one of the largest affordable housing developments in San Mateo County, with 555 units.

• Supported small businesses and local jobs through her work in economic and workforce development, including her vision for the Top of the Hill Festival.

• Restored critical public safety resources, including bringing back a fire engine eliminated during the Great Recession.

• Celebrated Daly City's diversity by creating new cultural events to bring the community together.

• Advocated for age-friendly policies to help older adults and led Daly City to its designation as a World Health Organization "Age-Friendly City."

• Improved public parks and green space across Daly City, including Gellert Park, Lincoln Park and Alta Vista Park, with Hillside Park and the all-inclusive, intergenerational Magical Bridge park on the way.

• Formed the Women's and Small Business Commissions, giving residents a bigger voice in civic decisions.

• Partnered with regional agencies including the Bay Area Water Conservation Agency, the City/County Association of Governments and the Association of Bay Area Governments.

• Advanced affordable childcare on city-owned land.
