Food Assistance Programs:

Emergency Grocery Distribution at Serramonte Center:

Second Harvest Food Bank is offering an emergency drive-through, free grocery distribution on the first and third Friday of every month through the COVID-19 pandemic. 9am to 11am at Serramonte Shopping Center in the NE parking lot (Serramonte Blvd off the I-280 exit). Address is 3 Serramonte Center. Call 1-800-984-3663 if you have questions. Groceries will be available to those in need.

Family Harvest Program:

Bayshore School, 155 Oriente Street, Daly City, on the Fourth Thursday of each month at 3:00 p.m. 

Produce Mobile:

Families of students of Bayshore School can access the Produce Mobile and Kids Now programs EVERY Friday at the school from 10:30AM-12:30PM. Many schools in Daly City are continuing school lunch programs during the current school closures.

Registered participants can access the Produce Mobile Lincoln Park Community Center the second Wednesday of each month from 4:00-6:00PM.  

The Brown Bag Program for Seniors (age 60 years and older) will operate as a drive-through only service at Westlake Park/Doelger Senior Center, 145 Lake Merced Blvd., each Thursday, from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m.  No walks ups, please.  The distributions on the first and third Thursdays of each month are intended for clients formally served at Lawson Hall or the United Methodist Church.  The second and fourth Thursday distributions are intended for clients formally served at Lincoln Community Center and Teglia Community Center.

North Peninsula Food Pantry

Food Delivery Services:

Food Connection:  

Food Connection is delivering groceries to residents in need throughout San Mateo and Santa Clara County. Monday through Friday 8AM – 5PM. Call 1-800-984-3663. Services available in English, Spanish and Vietnamese with additional languages through phone translation. Residents just need to give their name and address to a specialist who will then schedule a delivery appointment. 

Safe Food Daly City:

Free deliveries for Daly City at risk residents that are sheltering-in-place. Visit www.safefooddalycity.com or call (408) 780-8085 to request help or volunteer. After filling out the online delivery request, you will receive a call from a volunteer to confirm your requested items and decide payment options. The delivery is offered for free by volunteers, but you will still need to pay for the items. Items will be dropped at your door with receipt in the bag.

Older Adult Resource Hotline:

Peninsula Family Service is operating an Older Adult Resource Hotline. Call (650) 780-7542 Monday to Friday, 7:30AM – 4PM to talk with an experienced professional that will be able to connect you with a wide range of community resources including food services and a weekly well-being call with a Senior Peer Counselor. This time of isolation does not mean that you have to be disconnected from community. Read more about the hotline on this flyer.  

Friendship Line California:

Friendship Line California is a 24-hour, toll-free "life-line" that is dedicated to serving Californians over 60 who may be feeling anxious, fearful or lonely. The Friendship Line is both a crisis intervention hotline and a warmline for non-emergency emotional support calls. The phone line is staffed with specialists who provide emotional support, grief support, active suicide intervention.
